What Everybody Ought to Know About Failure

I failed and I mean I failed BIG.

In March of 2015, I hired a company out of London to help build an incredible user-friendly website to house and help you get more easily on the "Road to Awesome."

To date, this has not happened.

The short-story?
The first launch was scheduled for June 2015.
Delay ensued.
The co-founder, of the web company left the company.
Disaster unfolded.
Launch slated for September.
More delays.
More rework of the rework.
2 a.m. wake up calls to work harder.
Launch slated for December.
More technical issues.
The company then opted out of fixing it and turned over the code to me "as is," broken, flawed and unusable -- all this mind you, with a hefty price tag and no direction to move forward.

Dare I remind myself and tell you that in the middle of all this I had a complex surgery, could barely move for three months and on top of it was told by a specialist to "never run again."

On many fronts, I was devastated.

I thought I was going to die - literally on an operating room table and if not then, perhaps this whole debacle would tear me down so badly I would become someone I no longer recognized.

I mean have you you ever been knocked down so many times, one after another, that you just weren't sure you could get back up?

Well good people, hope comes on a wing, a prayer and a plan.

With the help of St. Peter, a web developer and Road to Awesome graduate, who stepped in to help, we were able to salvage something and at least get you some simple workout videos over the holidays while you waited for the real plans to appear.

Perhaps you saw the site in December.
Perhaps you cheered in excitement and even sent kind congratulations.
Perhaps you signed up.
Perhaps you waited for something more.
Perhaps I let you down.
For that I am deeply sorry.
Really sorry.

In January, just a few months ago, I hired another creative team to start all over.
I decided to go for it again with all my heart and not let my past failure dictate my decision of now and what this could be if we just kept at it.

My friends, today is the day we take flight.

Today is the day that I can say with full confidence that it is here!

Road to Awesome, life-changing fitness made simple, the plan that I wanted you to have in your hands to help guide you, step-by-step, to one awesome life, is finally here. Over 175 pages of workouts, meal plans and motivation, with video, shopping lists, recipes with pics, original workouts, workout cheat sheets, snack lists, private community and much, much more - all organized simply, easily into a weekly format for your convenience.

Everything you have known about fitness is going to change and everything you have known about yourself is going to be rewritten in a BIG way.

I share this backstory with you for three reasons:

Mainly because I want to remind you that everyone experiences setbacks. Some all at once, some more harsh than others and some spread out over a lifetime. While you will encounter adversity and setbacks, it's always up to you how the story ends. Be defined not by your falls, but in your rising every time you do.

Secondly, I want you to know that this plan works! The 10 philosophies taught in the Road to Awesome are the ones I used to once again get stronger, healthier, more capable, faster and motivated to become my best self. These philosophies are the exact ones taught to the thousands of people who have already experienced immense success that far exceed weight on a scale and a short term fix.

Thirdly, I want to tell you that no one does this alone. Pulling yourself back up requires love, support and encouragement from your family, friends and your tribe.

For me, these special people include: my parents, my husband Darin, who helps make it possible for me to live my dream every day, my bright-eyed children, my BFF since kindergarten, Marcia, who lifts me higher and makes me laugh at a moment's notice, Danielle Irvin, Kelsey Pitillo, Jen Berson, Jen Brian, Maggie Lilly, St. Peter Giesin, Jamal Brown, Emily Kreutner, Linda Artley, the team at Willa Creative - Jhoanna, Clarissa and Andrew for believing BIG in this movement and lending a kind, hard-working hand in making this all happen.

To my Rawwwrrring Roadsters, the pioneers and early adopters of this Road to Awesome movement, your stories of great triumph inspired me to keep working hard. You cheered. You rallied. You rawwwrrred. You sent Rocky t-shirts, cards, prayers, homemade veggie patties, chia oats, flowers, and presents that said things like, "hello superstar," and "yes you can" when I wasn't sure I could. You reminded me what this is all about and that we are truly all in this togetherIf just one more person experiences a life-changing story like ours, then this will all be worth it. You are my tribe, I love you and I want to publicly say thank you. (Please meet some of these Roadsters on the Testimonials page!)

To all of you, I'm sooooo excited to share this goodness with you and invite you to to check out the Road to Awesome on the new updated site still under angiestewartfitness.com. Peruse its pages and see all the new including a special RTA gives back section for an organization near and dear to our hearts. Sign up and get your goods within minutes to start the journey with us!

Turn the page my friends.
Today is a brand new day
with a new way to live.

P.S. I am running now. I consulted the top specialist in the world on my body...me.

Yours in the triumph
and the struggle,

WOW!! You have been so much on my mind this week and I get this email today!! I had no idea that you were going through a medical condition!! I am so happy to hear that you are on the up and up!!! Love your story of trial and triumph! Most of all your never ending faith, hope and love for happy, healthy and strong!!

I will be looking into your program and registering (hopefully). Ironically, I was just confronted with the news I will have to undergo another Anterior cervical disc fusion due to my screw breaking and disc becoming infused. You have no idea how your testimony gave me hope today!!

Best to you!

I am so honored to have been introduced to you. You gave me an opportunity and a plan which helped me set goals and to focus on what I COULD do as I worked to achieve those goals. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am so glad to be on this road with you!
